About Me

For much of my life, photography has been a constant. I don't remember when I got my first camera, but I do remember taking lots of pictures, and the thrill of developing and printing my own photos. As a teenager, I entered a national photo contest sponsored by Nikon, won second-place, and knew I had found my calling. Eventually I was lucky enough to land a staff photographer position at a local newspaper. Over the years I learned from some amazing photographers, and along the way was lucky enough to win some awards for my photojournalism.

Then several years ago, I switched gears, and ended up a page designer. What I discovered was that I truly missed photography. Thus began my return to the world of camera and lens. Capturing and sharing a moment in time is one of joys and gifts of photography. My goal, and my joy, has always been to try to capture those simple everyday moments around us and hopefully encourage a closer look, and bring a smile in a busy day.
